The Pumphouse (ポンプハウス Ponpu Hausu) is a traditional British pub and restaurant located at Albert Dock in Liverpool in England in the United Kingdom.

Exterior[]

The Pumphouse's exterior is composed of an engine house that has a metal gablet roof, with a louvred gable, on the back half of a slated saltbox roof, with a clerestory window at each of its front half side, brick walls, a large round gauged brick arched black glazing bar fixed picture window at its front, a round gauged brick arched black glazing bar fixed picture window, with a windowsill and a curve gauged brick arched black glazing bar fixed picture window, with a windowsill, at each of its side, at its back center top, a round gauged brick arched black glazing bar fixed picture window at its back center bottom, several flat gauged brick arched black glazing bar fixed picture windows at its sides, a black gate at its back left and a slated gable door overhang on a wooden two-door door at its front half left, a hydraulic accumulator tower that has a metal hip roof and brick walls, with The Pumphouse's name, THE PUMPHOUSE, on its front and back's top part, and a large round chimney, with a machincolated cap, that has a brick base.

Interior[]

The Pumphouse's interior is composed of white walls, several wooden wine racks filled with numerous various alcoholic drinks by its walls, a rectangular board with The Pumphouse's specialties written on it hanging on one of the wine racks, several rectangular wooden framed promotional posters hanging on its walls, a rectangular wooden framed painting hanging on one of its walls, and an oval wooden dining table, with a gold ornate candle holder, with three white candles on its sockets, on top of it which serves as the table's light and centrepiece and two accompanying wooden dining chairs at each of its side.

Background[]

In 1878, Lyster's Albert Hydraulic Power Centre was built as Albert Dock's hydraulic pumping station. However, by an unknown year, it was converted into a pub and restaurant and renamed as The Pumphouse due to Albert Dock's decline.
